This policy explains what information investguamwithchris.com (“the site”) collects, why, and what happens to it. “We”, “us” and “Chris” mean Christopher Su, a licensed real estate agent affiliated with Guam Realty International, who operates this site.
The short version
- We only collect what you choose to give us through the chat or the contact form.
- We use it to answer your enquiry and help you with property. That is all.
- We never sell your information, and we never share it with anyone for their own marketing.
- The site uses no advertising or analytics trackers.
Information you give us
Website chat (“Chat with Chris”). The chat is a scripted assistant — it is not a live person and not artificial intelligence. It asks what you are looking for (for example buy, sell, rent or lease; property type; budget or rent range; area; how you plan to pay or whether a housing allowance applies; and timeline), then your name, email address and, if you choose, a phone or WhatsApp number. When you finish, your answers are saved on the site and emailed to Chris, together with the page you started the chat from. If you close the chat before the end, nothing is sent.
Contact form. Your name, email address and message are emailed to Chris. The form does not keep a copy on the website.
Email, phone and WhatsApp. If you contact Chris directly, he receives whatever you send in the normal way.
Information collected automatically
Like every website, our hosting server records basic technical information about each visit — your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time — in server logs used for security and to keep the site running. We do not use these logs to identify you or to build a profile of you.
Cookies. The site does not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies. WordPress sets cookies only for people who log in to manage the site, and the server may set a strictly necessary technical cookie to deliver pages quickly. The site does not respond to “Do Not Track” signals because it does not track visitors in the first place.
How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and follow up about the property you asked about.
- To send you property information you have asked for.
- To keep the records a real estate brokerage is required to keep.
- To protect the site against spam and misuse.
Calls, texts and WhatsApp
A phone or WhatsApp number is always optional. If you give one, you agree that Chris may call, text or WhatsApp you about your enquiry. Chris contacts you personally; we do not use autodialers or pre-recorded messages, and we do not add your number to marketing lists. Giving your number is not a condition of any purchase or service. Message and data rates may apply. You can withdraw this permission at any time by replying STOP to a text, or by telling Chris by any method — he will stop.
When you give a number in the chat, the site records the date and time and the wording of the notice you were shown, as a record of your permission.
Who we share it with
- Guam Realty International, the brokerage Chris works under, which supervises his work and keeps transaction records as the law requires.
- Service providers who run the site for us: our web host (KnownHost), which stores the site and its data, and our email provider (Google), which delivers enquiry emails to Chris. They process information only to provide their service.
- People involved in your transaction — for example a lender, the other party’s agent, an inspector or an escrow or title company — only when you ask us to or it is needed to complete a deal you are part of.
- Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect someone’s rights or safety.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we are helping you, and afterwards for as long as brokerage record-keeping rules or the need to resolve a dispute require. Enquiries that never lead to a transaction are deleted when they are no longer useful to you. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.
Your choices
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can ask us to stop contacting you. Email investguamwithchris@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your local law; we will honor them.
Security
The site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, and enquiries saved on it can be seen only by the site’s administrator. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information such as Social Security, bank or card numbers through the chat or the contact form.
Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other websites
Property listings link to Realtor.com and other outside sites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, and this policy does not cover them.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date at the top.
